Details of the MARTISAN 250 LM skeleton and vehicle sample models

MARTISAN exhibited and released a 1:18 scale 250 LM new Diecastcar decorative panel sample at the 2025 HEC China International Model Expo. In fact, for such a hard-core model car with such a technological positioning, there is no difference between "sample" and "mass production product".

While playing with the new product, we also invited the brand manager of MARTISAN to briefly introduce the new product. So please don't miss the video material inserted in this article, because you can't vividly feel the details of the model by just looking at the pictures. (The first video at the beginning of the article is a display of the skeleton version of the MARTISAN 250 LM model Collection, and the second video is the explanation version)

Ferrari released the 250 Le Mans (LM), the successor to the 250 GTO, at the Paris Motor Show in 1963. It was developed as a 250 P coupé and was also intended to be a racing car certified by the FIA Group 3 GT category. However, the FIA did not approve Ferrari's application for participation because the 250 LM did not meet the required number of models in mass production and could only participate in prototype-level events. It was not until the 1966 season that it was allowed to join the Group 4 Sports Car category...
It is worth mentioning that the Ferrari 250 LM was allowed to be sold to private teams and gentleman drivers - from 1964 to 1967, the model played for Scuderia Ferrari, NART, Maranello Concessionaires, Ecurie Filipinetti, Ecurie Francorchamps... Fighting in the north and south, winning numerous awards - the highlight of which was the North American Racing Team (NART) drivers Jochen Rindt and Masten Gregory winning the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans, which was Ferrari's last overall victory in the endurance race until the Ferrari 499P won the championship in 2023.

Because of its historical status and the breadth of its racing experience, the 250 LM is regarded as a classic by later generations of car fans, although it is not as famous as its predecessor, the 250 GTO, the king of classic Prancing Horses. In terms of Diecast scale models, many manufacturers have launched 250 LM car models of various scales. If you think it is "relatively unpopular", then you are not a pure-blooded Tifosi!

MARTISAN said that the 250 LM project has not yet started accepting orders. The specific launch time can be found on MARTISAN's social media account. The skeleton Collection and vehicle Diecast car shown in this article and video material are decorative panel sample models made by MARTISAN for the 2025 HEC China International Model Expo. The mass-produced modelcar will continue this process and make necessary strengthening adjustments.

Let's take a look at the skeleton model first. The 250 LM and 250 GTO are both equipped with the Colombo V12 engine, so MARTISAN can use some parts from the previous model. It is worth mentioning that because the chassis/frame structure of the 250 LM is different from that of the 250 GTO and is more conducive to the placement of the model's internal structure, the skeleton version and the whole vehicle version of the new car will retain the core highlight model movable functions such as the engine piston linkage. During the early design phase of the 1:18 scale Ferrari 250 LM diecast model, MARTISAN teamed up with renowned European Ferrari restoration experts—just as they did on the 250 GTO project—to ensure absolute authenticity. Their professional input made it possible to integrate working mechanical features rarely seen in a model car: a fully functional cable handbrake, pre-wired lighting harness in the full-vehicle version, dual fuel-tank connection lines, and a linked suspension torsion rod system. This level of engineering precision elevates the piece to a must-have for serious diecast collectors and anyone building a premium diecast collection.

In other words, without a deep dive into classic racing lore, it’s nearly impossible for many collectors to grasp what makes the Ferrari250 truly extraordinary—but that’s exactly why MARTISAN exists. More than just diecastcars, each 118Scale modelcar is crafted to turn your diecast Collection into an ongoing learning journey. Every time you lift the hood, flex the pistons, or examine the suspension, you uncover new details—and that joy of discovery is what fuels every serious collector.

The full-vehicle version wears the iconic 1965 Le Mans champion livery—but in our rush to debut at the expo, MARTISAN didn’t have time to reinforce the suspension. At over 800 g, the weight of this 1:18 Scale Ferrari250 diecast modelcar pushes its stance too low, reminding collectors that even small engineering tweaks can make a big difference in both display and play. This “work-in-progress” release is a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges of crafting a museum-ready diecastcars piece, and it’s yet another lesson for every serious collector’s Collection.
While the core engineering and detailing on this 1:18 Scale Ferrari250 diecast modelcar are now fully finalized, we’re equally excited to share the high-resolution exhibition photos showcasing every nuance—from the unibody paintwork of the 1965 Le Mans champion livery to the intricate suspension and engine bay. Dive into our diecastcars gallery below to inspect the craftsmanship up close. And don’t miss MARTISAN’s upcoming announcement of the 250 LM mass-production schedule—this is one addition no serious collector or Collection should overlook!

Each time I handle this 118Scale diecast modelcar, I’m instantly transported back to the excitement I felt when I first discovered static scale cars. MARTISAN really is a rare clear-stream brand in the diecastcars industry—its attention to detail elevates every piece beyond a mere display item. Even if you’re not usually drawn to a Ferrari250 theme, I recommend experiencing one of these models firsthand whenever you get the chance; every serious diecast collector will appreciate the craftsmanship in their Collection.
